Award-winning Ghanaian afro beats and hip-hop artist, songwriter, and performer Bashir Annan, popularly known as Gambo, releases his latest project, an EP titled ‘1MB (1 More Bullet)’.
This Afro hip-hop project features several rappers from across the African continent and a special guest feature from the United States.
1MB aims to fuse hip-hop culture with African flavor, encouraging cross-cultural engagement by connecting African culture with African American heritage. Gambo is renowned for promoting positivity and showcasing Ghanaian tourism, culture, and African heritage to the world.
This EP highlights the influence of hip-hop on Gambo’s music and the impact of African American culture globally, incorporating elements from his recording sessions in the United States.

The EP features the legendary American rapper Jim Jones, who collaborated on the remix of Gambo’s most successful song, “Drip.” The original track featured award-winning Ghanaian rapper Edem, showcasing the luxurious side of Ghana. Additionally, Gambo collaborated with award-winning Tanzanian rapper G Nako on the track “Loco” during his return to Tanzania.
Also featured on the highly anticipated EP are Ghanaian rappers Kofi Jamar and E.L. Kofi Jamar showcases his lyrical prowess on “Conversation,” while E.L. shines on “Enjoyment.” The project was produced by Fortune Dane, one of Ghana’s top hip-hop producers, delivering heavy-hitting soundtracks that convey the EP’s sonic message.
