After a Great year of Music, Music Untamed decided to create a segment titled “The Untamed top 10 tour” As a means of getting into the minds of creatives; we asked some of our favourites to send in a list of their top 10 songs that kept them afloat and songs that were put on repeat throughout the duration of the year 2021.

Barzini (Nwobodo Amechi David) is a versatile Nigerian music lyricist, songwriter and producer poised to write a new chapter in the history of Nigerian music. This year (2021) marks something very substantial for the artist as he releases a staggering amount of 10 singles under his belt; which included the ABJ re-up & legends remix of his critically acclaimed single “Rugged you

let’s take a look at Barzini’s top 10 picks of 2021 which includes some bangers you know and some you might have missed.

Barzini’s Top 10 picks of 2021

Barzini went on to break down what each song meant to him and why he picked them.

  1. Elveektor – Isee (I strongly believe that this is one of the greatest indigenous hiphop songs ever recorded)
  2. Tems – Crazy Things (Tems is special, I wanna be in her presence someday. This song and the entire tape is just magic)
  3. Fireboy DML – Peru (Ed Sheeran described this record as an ear worm. Enough said)
  4. Ajebo Hustlers – Pronto (I’m so happy for AH. Their sonic range can never be in doubt again)
  5. Barzini – Rugged You (Imagine containing the power of a thousand tornadoes in an audio file, yea)
  6. Davido x Focalistic – Champion Sound (As the name implies, this is a champion sound. That “Away!!!” part always drives me crazy!)
  7. Nuno Zigi, Beepee, Senior Maintain & Ifex G – GAE (Just what Amapiano needed, an indigenous marijuana anthem!)
  8. Paybac Iboro feat. 3rty – The Story of Hushpuppi (one of our rappers needed to tell this story on a record, for history sake. I’m glad it was Paybac)
  9. Reekado Banks – Ozumba Mbadiwe (Mr. Banks brought a happy vibe to an event that left us all so scarred. For me I think that’s the genius of this record – I can dance away my pain)
  10. Ckay – Love Nwantinti (Lol. Yea I know it’s getting old but I think this record will live forever)
