As the resident hype man for Cool FM, Mr. Barango works alongside DJ Savy every Friday for the popular “Cool Party Club Mix.” But his talents don’t stop there. He’s a versatile host who has worked on various events, from corporate gatherings to hip parties and traditional weddings.
When asked about his experience winning the award, Mr. Barango shared his thoughts. “Winning this award was such a great feeling! I didn’t prepare a speech, but when I received the award, I dedicated it to God first, and then to Speech Horsefall, because I feel like he’s the real ultimate hype champion.”

Mr. Barango also emphasized the importance of recognition for hype men in the industry. “It’s very important that event planners know that hype men are essential to events. You have more hype men at events than artists, so they need to make sure they’re paying their hype men and DJs more.”
As our conversation came to a close, Mr. Barango expressed his gratitude to those who have supported him throughout his journey. “I started this journey like how many years ago, myself and Speech, since 2016, and it’s 2025, finally, the hype men are getting their flowers, and it’s very important.”
