Nigerian singer, Lobi has waited a long time for this moment, and he’s ready to take it. After years of ruminating on the viability of his sound in a Nigerian market, the multi-hyphenate who wrote and produced his debut EP, Freemotion, is now more than ever confident of what he brings to Nigeria’s ever-evolving soundscape.

“I’ve been making music for a long time now, but this is a proper introduction to my sound,” he explains. “This EP is a key to help unlock new worlds and ideas.”

Lobi

Throughout Freemotion, Lobi, born Olaoluwa David Adebayo, meditates on the naked vulnerability of falling in love or lust while remaining reflective on his experience as a creative trying to make a statement. Drawing influences from R&B, Afrobeats and Soul, his silky, sinuous vocals explore familiar emotions and ignite an assured debut EP.
