At just 22, Nigerian singer, songwriter, and producer Jiire Smith is carving a distinct space for himself in the music world. Born and raised in Abuja, his love for words began through poetry, nurtured by his mother’s passion for literature. His journey into music started in the church choir at age 13, where his unique voice quickly drew attention.
Though he briefly studied political science at NYU Abu Dhabi, Jiire eventually followed his true calling—music. Early releases like Bus 170 showcased his gift for weaving soulful storytelling with rich melodies, setting him apart as an artist of depth and intention.
His new single, Celebrate, is an ode to gratitude and presence. The track reminds listeners to pause in the pursuit of success and savour life’s unfolding moments.
